to use in creating unique flavors.
The 12th Capadoccia Traditional Food Competition was held in Göreme on
October 04-05, 2013. The festival was organized through the collaboration of the
Nevşehir University, the Chef’s Federation of Turkey, Capadoccia Vocational School
and the Capadoccia Chef’s Association and the sponsorship of Eksper Gıda.
Professional chefs, student chefs and housewives who competed in the
categories of soup, main course dishes and desserts presented their creations to
the jury. All of the products in the Eksper Gıda portfolio contributed to the foods in
the kitchen set up to help the contestants.
The professional chef members of the Capadoccia Chef’s Association attracted
a lot of attention from the contestants for the motives they carved out of pumpkins
and watermelon. Also Göreme’s “Japanese Bride Meal Performance” was organized
under the control and direction of Turkey’s most respected chef. The skills of the
Japanese brides who put on their aprons, peeled onions, aubergines and potatoes
and stir fried meat were admired by the professional chefs.
